Samantha Skopek joins PREMIER Design + Build

PREMIER Design + Build Group, LLC has announced that project manager Samantha Skopek has joined the organization.

“With four years of project management experience and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Skopek brings a well-rounded level of industry knowledge to PREMIER’s growing book of business,” the news release says.

Skopek’s extensive management responsibilities in various undertakings has led to the successful completion of several high-profile projects, PREMIER said in its announcement. “Past experience with critical thinking, problem resolution and the development of methods to improve processes and establish program criteria to ensure client satisfaction launched Skopek to the top of the candidate list.”

Skopek’s work history includes projects ranging in value from $3 million to $630+ million, notably the Public Building Commission of Chicago. “As project manager, Skopek oversaw 500 plus change orders and drove standardization of entitlement and change management within the program, which involved hundreds of general and specialty contractors and design professionals,” the announcement said.

Additional work under Skopek’s management include: Pacific Gas and Electric Chromium Program, which involved the cleanup of Chromium 6 in two California groundwater sites; Lurie Children’s 680 N Lakeshore Drive floor renovations, a 25,000 sq. ft. construction project on the 15th and 16th floors of the facility; Children’s Memorial Hospital campus decommissioning; Children’s Memorial Hospital Clark Deming renovation, a multi-building and multi-phase renovation; and the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, a 23-story facility spanning 1.25 million sq. ft, achieved a LEED Gold.

Expansion on both local and national levels has created the need for additional project managers with proven past experience. Skopek brings exactly the kind of client-centric focus and industry experience we employ at PREMIER,” says PREMIER executive vice-president Brian Paul. “We are lucky to have her onboard with us.”

Skopek is certified by the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure as an Envision Sustainability Professional. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture with Digital Design Specialization from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
