Rick Kane, principal of Brevard County’s Kane Construction Management Inc., has been elected vice-chairman at the November meeting of the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board (CLIB), Spacecoastdaily.com reports.

The CILB, a division of the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, meets regularly to consider applications for licensure, review disciplinary cases, and conduct informal hearings.

The board engages in rulemaking to implement the provisions set forth in its statutes and conducts other general business, as necessary. aKane currently chairs the State of Florida Construction Industry Recovery Fund.

He has served as the chair of the Continuing Education Committee and currently sits on the Rules Committee. Kane was appointed to the board in 2011 by Governor Scott.
