Plaza Construction announced that it has broken ground for the AC Hotel by Marriott in Miami Beach.

The U.S’s first all-new AC Hotel is being developed by Miami-based Robert Finvarb Companies. It was designed by Miami-based Kobi Karp Architecture & Interior Design.

The seven-story, 150-room hotel will offer upscale amenities, is across from the beach.The 153,000 square foot mixed-use facility will also offer more than 4,000 square feet of retail space.

Slated for completion in early 2015, the project “will combine a distinct European style with simple, clean and crisp lines to reflect the uniqueness of the brand within the dynamic global destination that is Miami Beach,” states the developer’s website.
