Konover South, LLC on April 14 closed a $3.279 million land purchase in Orlando for its new 62,222 sq. ft. grocery-anchored Landstar Marketplace retail center to include a 43,865 sq. ft. Walmart Neighborhood Market.

The 18-acre site at the southeast corner of Central Florida GreeneWay (SR 417) and Landstar Blvd. will also include 18,357 sq. ft. of inline retail plus four outparcels.

“We are excited to be part of Walmart Neighborhood Market’s continuing expansion in Central Florida, as well as to bring a great new neighborhood center to Orlando,” Bob Bedard, senior vice-president of development for the Deerfield Beach-based Konover South said in a statement.

Construction is slated to commence this spring and openings are set for first quarter 2018, Bedard said. The center at 13891 Landstar Blvd. is across the street from a Publix-anchored center in an area of new and planned residential developments.

Kimley-Horn, Orlando, is the project civil consultant and Cuhaci & Peterson is the architect. R.A. Rogers Construction Company, Altamonte Springs, is the general contractor.
