New England-based LandTech Consultants opens Florida office

LandTech Consultants, Inc., a 3D technology based civil engineering and surveying firm, has expanded business to Florida to help site developers accurately measure, document, and manage building, roadway, and infrastructure projects using 3D laser scanning technologies and UAV ( drone)operations, the company has announced in a new release.

LandTech says its  new Boynton Beach office will offer advanced geospatial technology services to help contractors quickly and accurately conduct site inspections, determine construction progress, estimate material volumes, and implement advanced GPS computerized machine control.

“We are excited to open the Boynton Beach office and offer the Florida AEC market the most advanced geospatial technologies,” said president Chris Lorrain. “LandTech is one of the few engineering and surveying firms authorized by the FAA to utilize UAVs for commercial purposes.”

Michael Ross, director of geospatial operations, will manage all aspects of LandTech’s Florida operation. The company says he has more than 31 years of experience in all facets of professional surveying and mapping operations which include project
management, new business development, financial oversight and operational management.

Landtech says Ross has developed a specific focus on promoting advanced geospatial technologies such as high definition laser scanning, 3D modeling and UAV operations. Professional experience includes design surveys, right-of-way mapping, machine control data preparation and construction survey support for a diverse clientele throughout the Northeast and Florida.
