Moss Foundation raises $275,000 for Florida non-profits during 6th annual charitable golf tournament

The Moss Foundation hosted its 6th annual charitable golf tournament, the Plumb Bob Classic, at the Trump National Doral Golf Club on Dec. 6.

The tournament raised $275,000.

At the event, Chad Moss of the Moss Foundation presented eight non-profit organizations with contributions totaling $185,000, These organizations included Homes for Our Troops, Wounded Warrior Outdoors, Florida Guardian Ad Litem Foundation, Place of Hope, Metropolitan Ministries, Children’s Dream Fund, and HANDY. In addition, a random raffle for the participants was held at the event, and the winner selected their charity of choice to support.

The remaining funds that were raised through the golf tournament will be donated to several charities throughout 2020.

The event’s title partner was Lotspeich Co. of Florida. Additionally, more than 100 corporate partners sponsored the event. Doral Lincoln & Bacardi supported through in-kind services.

The tournament attracted more than 272 golfers who played on two separate courses. The winning teams, representing G&E Florida Contractors led by Enrique Hersman, Gary Kopolow, Rami Assayag & Pepi Cancio on the Blue Monster Course and the East Coast Metals team led by Daymon Allmon, Brad McAfee, Brad Coleman & Jonny Rowe on the Red Tiger Course.

“Year in and year out, we are humbled by the incredible turnout for our flagship fundraiser,” said Chad Moss, president of the Moss Foundation. “The amazing support of our sponsors, volunteers and staff, is what allows the Moss Foundation to continue supporting so many wonderful initiatives within the communities that we call home right here in South Florida.”
