Mixed-used development in Miami Beach gets initial approval

Developer David Martin’s proposal for a new mixed-used development in Miami Beach has received its first round of approvals.

The project includes a residential tower on city-owned property at 300 Alton Rd. at the Miami Beach Marina as well as a long-term lease and improvements for the marina, reports Remiami Beach.

The proposal has to pass a second reading at City Commission in July with a voter referendum in the fall.

Construction would take four years to complete.
