Mill Creek Residential Trust LLC to break ground on a major Orlando redevelopment project

Mill Creek Residential, a national apartment developer, investor and operator, is seeking to fill subcontractor opportunities for the Modera by Mill Creek Central project in downtown Orlando set to break ground this fall, according to spokeswoman Bianca Beran.

Orlando Business Journal reports that the plans include 22 storeys, 350 apartments, 12,500 sq. ft. of ground floor retail space and a 25,000 sq. ft. four-storey University Club of Orlando clubhouse at 150 E. Central Blvd.

The project at 3205 Cumberland Blvd. has been designed in collaboration with Lord Aeck Sargent.  A news release says will be the project will be constructed by Mill Creek’s  affiliated general contracting group.

The completed development will introduce a mixed-use, community driven environment to the Cumberland area.

The city of Orlando in 2015 approved Mill Creek’s redevelopment plans— which at the time had the apartment high-rise at 26 storeys — despite some local opposition. In late July, University Club sold its property to the developer for more than $6 million.
