Miami-Dade County has received an $8 million grant from the Florida Job Growth Grant Fund (JGGF) to enhance roadway infrastructure at Miami Freedom Park. This funding is expected to boost business opportunities within the park and create over 1,800 jobs.

“This investment will greatly enhance job creation and attract new businesses to South Florida,” said Gov. Ron DeSantis. By improving roadway and transit infrastructure, we are ensuring that Miami can accommodate increased traffic efficiently as projects like Miami Freedom Park are completed.”

JGGF funding will specifically target improvements in transit infrastructure, increasing accessibility and capacity for businesses relocating to the park.

The fund is dedicated to fostering economic development through public infrastructure enhancements and workforce training across the state.

Proposals are evaluated by FloridaCommerce and selected by Governor DeSantis to address critical infrastructure and training needs in various communities.
