Kaufman Lynn Construction (KL) says it has recently topped out the new Oakland Park Residences in Oakland Park, a garden-style apartment community. This topping out is a celebrated phase for the project which broke ground in March 2021.
The project at 670 East Oakland Park Blvd.will span 12 acres and feature 300 units including studios; one and two-bedroom units; four 5-story buildings; three, two-story buildings with associated driveways and parking; a one-story covered garage; a one-story clubhouse with pool and pool pavilion; a reconstruction of the seawall, and a dog park.
Construction is slated for completion in the fall.
The site had previously been a Kmart department store, later purchased by Walmart but never developed. The new apartment community will be adjacent to a planned Sprouts Farmers Market.
