Jordan Gruber, a veteran of high-end residential construction in Miami Beach and South Florida, has joined Plaza Construction’s luxury residential division as co-director overseeing all phases of pre-construction, new construction and large-scale renovations. Gruber is a graduate of Florida State University.

Plaza’s luxury residential division has long been recognized for its superior brand of fine quality construction known throughout South Florida, a news release says. “It’s track record of accomplishments includes new construction and renovation of multimillion-dollar estate homes on Hibiscus Island and North Bay Road as well as high-end condominium residences at The Setai, Canyon Ranch, Fountainebleau II, Icon Brickell and more,” the announcement said.  Gruber is joining co-director Jason Elmer, a seven-year veteran with Plaza Construction working almost exclusively in the luxury residential market. Elmer is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Master’s degree in building-construction management and a Bachelor of Design in Architecture.

Plaza is a full-service general contractor and construction manager. The company’s projects have included: W South Beach hotel, the 67-story Marquis and Canyon Ranch North Tower. In addition, Plaza is currently constructing  The Related Group’s $105 million, 42-story Millecento Residences by Pininfarina, located in the heart of Miami’s Brickell neighborhood at 1100 S. Miami Ave.;  the 35-story EnV at Mary Brickell Village, a residential tower, under its $65 million contract with Lynd Development Partners, LNR Property LLC, and BlackRock Realty Advisors;  and The Perry South Beach Hotel, Resort, Spa and Condominiums, a  $100 million beachfront redevelopment by The LeFrak Organization, Starwood Capital Group and Invesco Ltd. that will be renamed 1 Hotel & Residences South Beach. Plaza also recently completed the multimillion-dollar Dadeland Mall Kendall Wing expansion under its contract with Simon Property Group.
