Gov. Ron DeSantis this week announced a grant of more than $5.8 million from the Florida Job Growth Grant Fund (JGGF) to the Titusville-Cocoa Airport Authority. This funding will be used to construct a 3,200-foot roadway, which will connect the Space Coast Innovation Park directly to the Space Coast Regional Airport.

Infrastructure improvements are planned to boost business prospects within the park and create over 900 new jobs.

“Florida is the space capital of the country. Titusville and the surrounding areas will see significant benefits from these high-demand, high-wage jobs, leading to a more robust economy for families across the Space Coast,” DeSantis said.

Secretary of Commerce J. Alex Kelly underscored the importance of this grant, noting that investments in the aerospace and aviation sectors are crucial for developing high-wage job ecosystems in communities like Titusville.

The Space Coast Innovation Park is set to feature up to seven commercial buildings, offering 1.4 million sq. ft. of industrial space. The project is expected to generate a fiscal impact exceeding $24.6 million.
