HNTB names four new officers in Lake Mary office

HNTB Corporation’s Lake Mary, Florida, office has announced four promotions:

  • George Gilhooley, Central Florida office leader and vice president, was promoted to senior vice-president.
  • Tim Garrett, associate vice president and toll systems program manager for HNTB’s general engineering consultant contract with Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, was promoted to vice-president.
  • Christina Colón, design program manager for HNTB’s GEC with FTE, was promoted to associate vice-president.
  • Robert Denney, project manager, was promoted to associate vice-president.

“These talented employees helped contribute to the firm’s significant growth through exemplary service to our clients and within our organization,” said Charlie Herndon, HNTB Florida District leader and senior vice president in a statement. “HNTB is delighted to announce these new officer designations and recognize outstanding performance.”

HNTB’s sales in Florida have grown significantly, leading to the addition of 140 new hires throughout the state in 2015. The firm added 29 new full time professionals in Orlando in the past 12 months.

In the Orlando area, HNTB has been helping shape infrastructure since 1955. The firm has worked on, or currently is involved with some of the most high-profile, complex projects in the region, including Citrus Bowl reconstruction, I-4 Ultimate project construction oversight and Orlando International Airport terminal expansion, to name a few.
