Halfacre Construction Company has been selected to build the new Team Success Charter School located near the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport.

The new school will be built on a vacant 15-acre parcel at 8237 15th St. E. on the east side of 15th St. The campus will follow a standard school curriculum with a special focus on the aeronautical industry, reports Sarasota Magazine.

The 46,000-sq.-ft. campus will include an administration building, 12,000-sq.-ft. cafeteria, and three classroom buildings totaling 36 classrooms and two faculty restrooms.

Halfacre will act as the construction manager, with Sage Development acting as the project developer. Fawley Bryant Architecture is the architectural consultant for the project.

The first phase of the $11-million project is slated for spring 2021, with an estimated completion date before the start of the 2021-22 school year. A second phase to add an extra 34,000 sq. ft. of facilities will take place in the next three to five years.
