Florida Gov. Rick Scott proposed spending more than $213 million for a transportation hub including a rail line at Orlando International Airport, reports The Associated Press.

The governor said at a news conference that the project, called the South Airport People Mover Complex, would create 1,900 construction jobs and 380 permanent jobs at the new facility.

The $213.5 million would be spent over three years, provided the state Legislature also approves the spending plan.A key part of the project would use the new hub to link the Orlando airport with the private All Aboard Florida rail line that will run from South Florida to central Florida. It is expected to begin service as early as late 2015.

The transportation hub will also provide links to air and ground transportation, including rental cars, taxis, buses and private vehicles, according to the governor’s office.

The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority is providing $467.5 million for the project, which includes an Intermodal Transit facility.
