$75 million Florida Advanced Manufacturing Center first phase construction starts

Construction has started on the $75 million, 100,000 sq, ft. first phase of the Florida Advanced Manufacturing Research Center  in Osceola County. The general contractor is Skanska USA Building Inc. (Design and construction represent about $50 million of the costs.)

St. Louis-based HOK is the project architect, and Kissimmee-based Hanson, Walter & Associates Inc. is the engineer.

The overall, $250 million complex will include a similar 100,000-sq. ft. research/manufacturing building, along with two 24,000-sq. ft. office buildings.
