The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) OnBoard4Jobs Construction Careers Program will host a Central Florida Construction Job Fair to help contractors find workers for roadway construction projects. The job fair will be held on Tuesday, June 20 at the Knights of Columbus, 4880 Fruitville Rd., Sarasota.

Job seekers, ages 18 and older, are invited to participate in this construction careers fair to meet road and bridge construction contractors that are hiring for jobs throughout Southwest Florida.

Contractors are hiring for such positions as general laborers, carpenters, concrete finishers, flaggers, truck drivers, heavy machine operators, asphalt pavers, pipe fitters, superintendents and a variety of other construction positions. Those without road construction experience are also encouraged to attend to learn about industry on-the-job training opportunities.
