The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the Florida Transportation Builders’ Association (FTBA) have announced the winners of the 2025 Best in Construction awards, recognizing exceptional contributions to Florida’s transportation infrastructure.

The annual awards, presented in partnership with FDOT, celebrate FTBA contractor members whose work demonstrates excellence in safety, innovation, and community impact across the state’s roads, bridges, and transit systems.

“These award-winning projects reflect the high standards, collaboration, and innovation that define transportation in Florida,” FDOT secretary Jared W. Perdue said in a statement. “FDOT is proud to work alongside industry partners who are deeply committed to delivering infrastructure that enhances safety, strengthens communities, and supports our state’s continued growth.”

FTBA president Dan Hurtado praised the professionals behind Florida’s infrastructure successes.

“Florida’s roads and bridges are among the best in the world and are built by exemplary professionals who take tremendous pride in their work,” Hurtado said. “FTBA is grateful to partner with FDOT in recognizing some of these outstanding people for their commitment, innovation, and hard work. Their efforts will contribute to Florida’s prosperity for many years to come.”

Projects are nominated by FDOT District Offices across multiple categories, including major bridge construction, interchange work, and interstate improvements. The FDOT State Construction Office reviews and grades each nomination based on a rigorous set of criteria to identify top-tier projects that meet or exceed the department’s standards.
