The name of the new distillery could be the Old Everglades Distillery. A corporation in that name was founded in 2013 and managed by Robert J. Edwards Jr. and Joseph T. Anzalone in Boca Raton.

The developer is represented by planning firm HSQ Group.

Meanwhile, Miami-Dade officials have received an application from Broward Pinnacle to build a 105,635-sq. ft. self-storage facility with 580 units at 4201 S.W. 70th Ct. – just south of Bird Rd.
