Owner Georgia-based Di Development LLC has filed plans with Orange County for a new 124-room WoodSpring Suites, more than 11,000 sq. ft. of retail/restaurant space, a residential development and a mini-storage parcel.

Documents show the hotel and retail center at 12800 E. Colonial Dr. will front Colonial Drive, but it doesn’t give much insight into the rest of the project’s plans

Dimensions Architects Inc. president Tim Miller told Orlando Business Journal that it’s still too early to discuss details for the project until it secures permitting and approvals, which may take four months. He also said an estimated time for the completion of the project was still undetermined until construction begins.

There are three WoodSpring Suites hotels in the Orlando area near SeaWorld Orlando, Orlando International Airport and UCF. In addition, the company has two Value Place brand hotels in Sanford and near College Park.
