Architect Perkins + Will has designed the 165,000 sq. ft.  site to be developed by Crescent Heights at at 709 Alton on Miami Beach as the future home of Baptist Health South Florida, anchoring a low-rise commercial development.

Miami Beach building permit data indicates a permit value of $10,062,359. The building permit indicates the contractor is G.T . McDonald Enterprises Inc., based in Plantation, FL., working for client KGM Equities LLC.

Perkins+Will is also working with the developer on plans for 1212 Lincoln Rd., respecting the mostly low-rise character of this neighborhood. The design plan encourages “community health and wellness through pedestrian-friendly paths and shaded roof terraces and gardens for its visitors,” a project spokesperson says.

The design indicates a 200-ft. transparent façade with an “interior mainstreet,” a shaded rooftop terrace and garden, and parking entrance on the project’s  northern edge of the project.

Crescent Heights is also also developing a mixed-use project across the street on Alton Rd.
