Cory W. Nichols, P.E. joins Calvin, Giordano & Associates (CGA) as the company’s North Florida CEI area manager and senior project engineer, CGA has announced.

Currently based in CGA’s Jacksonville office, Nichols’ new assignment will be to enhance corporate presence for the firm’s rapidly growing engineering and construction services in North Florida and the Florida Panhandle.

“Cory Nichols brings 20 years management and CEI experience, primarily in the North Florida region to his new assignment with CGA,” said Dennis Giordano, president of the Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based multi-disciplinary consulting firm.

Nichols, formerly with Kisinger Campo & Associates, served as their senior project engineer on numerous Florida Department of Transportation projects, including resurfacing 22 miles of Florida Turnpike in Lake County for Florida Turnpike Enterprise (FTE). He also served as project administrator on over 20 construction projects, including three bridges for the FDOT Gainesville construction office.

Nichols holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Florida (Construction Management) and is a qualified QC manager and is certified in Advance MOT.

Based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, CGA is a multi-disciplinary consulting firm that offers a comprehensive approach to engineering, land planning, government regulatory compliance, public sector contract services, data technologies, emergency management and development issues.  CGA employs 220 professionals and has additional Florida offices located in Jacksonville, Clearwater, Port St. Lucie West Palm Beach and Homestead and an office Atlanta, Georgia.
