Benderson Development is building a massive industrial park in Manatee County.

Located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Interstate 75 and U.S. 301, the 2,000,000-sq.-ft. park, called Florida International Trade Port, will be completed in phases.

Construction is underway on the first two buildings. The developer plans to finish the 500,000-sq.-ft. first phase within 12 months.

The industrial park, which sits on 132 acres, will be one the biggest facilities in the state. It will be bigger than the Mall at University Town Center which is 880,000 sq. ft.
