The City of Orlando is set to enhance its emergency response capabilities with the construction of a new, cutting-edge fire station. The city’s Public Works Department has announced the development of a 15,913 sq. ft., four-bay fire station, which will be built in collaboration with contractor H.J. High Construction.
Located at 3900 East Concord St., the new Fire Station 6 is designed to replace the existing station, which has surpassed its functional lifespan. This strategic new location will offer improved accessibility to critical areas such as East Colonial, Orlando Fashion Square Mall, Baldwin Park, Milk District, and the Orlando Executive Airport, ensuring faster response times during emergencies.
The new structure will provide enhanced living quarters for firefighters and ample space for vital equipment and vehicles. This upgrade aims to bolster the effectiveness of the city’s emergency services, equipping first responders with the modern tools and environment necessary for their vital work.
