Broward County invites contractors to session outlining $16.5 billion in small business opportunities

Broward County has invited businesses to attend a Sept. 14 session outlining opportunities in its $16.5, 30-year transportation initiatives to learn how they can qualify as a certified County Business Enterprise (CBE).

The statement says the county commission has “adopted a 30% small business participation goal on all eligible PENNY for TRANSPORTATION projects.

“Be among the first entrepreneurs and existing business owners to get the facts for the future of your business,” the statement says. “Join representatives from the Office of Economic and Small Business Development and Broward County Transportation as they provide the inside scoop on upcoming projects, and the short- and long-term opportunities available for small businesses.

Light refreshments will be served.

The program takes place at the West Regional Library, 8601 W. Broward Blvd., Plantation, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
