El-Ad National Properties marked a major milestone in its $1 billion The District project with a traditional topping out ceremony Feb. 12. The event signalled the structural completion of phase one of the 2.8 million-sq. ft. mixed-use development at 4803 South State Road 7.
General contractor Promethean Builders LLC and project partners placed the final structural beam signed by project leaders and team members and hoisted a tree and American flag to symbolize growth and the project’s future in Broward County.
More than 400 workers have contributed to the project, which will include five residential towers ranging from 21 to 24 stories, about 1,292 rental units, 36,000 square feet of restaurants and retail, and 1.1 million sq. ft. of access-controlled parking with 2,650 spaces.
“The topping out ceremony is a significant milestone that honours the dedication and craftsmanship of everyone who has worked to bring The District in Davie to this point,” said Matthew Jeffries, CEO of El-Ad National Properties.
Amenities will include rooftop pools, coworking spaces, pet parks, children’s play suites, fitness and spa facilities, outdoor kitchens, game lounges, and a reservable Sky Lounge. Many units will feature private terraces with views of the iconic Guitar at the nearby Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
Phase one, which includes the entry promenade, service access roads, and other common elements, remains on track for completion. The project is being delivered in three phases, with architecture by Cooper Carry of Atlanta.
