Riverside Wharf has broken ground in downtown Miami on a $350 million mixed-use waterfront development along the Miami River.

The project, located at 114 SW North River Drive, is being developed by a partnership that includes MV Real Estate Holdings, Driftwood Capital and Merrimac Ventures. Moss is serving as general contractor.

Plans call for a 167-room luxury hotel operating under the Dream Hotel brand, along with nightlife, dining and entertainment venues, event spaces and a marina. The hotel will feature a rooftop pool and day club, while the broader development will include signature restaurants, a large indoor event hall and an expanded version of The Wharf Miami concept.

The development is expected to span more than 200,000 square feet and will also include public-facing improvements such as a riverwalk and infrastructure designed to address sea-level rise and flood mitigation along the Miami River.

Riverside Wharf is being built on the former site of The Wharf Miami, a popular waterfront venue that closed in 2023 to make way for the redevelopment. A temporary pop-up of Garcia’s Fish Market is planned during construction to acknowledge the area’s historic ties to Miami’s fishing community.

Construction began in early December, with completion targeted for fall 2028. When finished, the project is expected to contribute to ongoing revitalization efforts along the Miami River and in downtown Miami’s hospitality and entertainment district.
