Mill Creek Residential, a leading multifamily investor and operator specializing in premier apartment communities across the U.S., has begun construction on a new 22-story tower with luxury apartments, shops and restaurants. The tower will also be the new home for the 90-year-old University Club of Orlando in downtown.

The 22-story high rise will include 12,500 sq. ft. of ground floor retail space, 350 apartments and the new University Club, planned to span 25,000 sq. ft. over four levels.

Mill Creek Residential’s in-house contracting firm, MCRT South Florida Construction LLC, is the project’s general contractor.

Orlando Business Journal reported that the former University Club building was razed earlier this month and foundation work is underway.

Modera by Mill Creek, Central’s outdoor amenities, including an elevated pool deck, are specially designed to optimize picturesque views of the city and Lake Eola. In addition to onsite retail space and innovative amenities, the future community sits within walking distance of more than 120 restaurants and nightlife.

Mill Creek Residential Trust LLC is a national multifamily company focused on the development, acquisition and operation of apartment communities in targeted markets nationwide.
