Unicorp National Developments Inc. is building a new $40 million, 216-unit Casa Mirella apartment complex in Ocoee near Windermere in Florida, reports Orlando Business Journal.
The apartment complex was built on 100 acres of land at Maguire and Roberson roads in Ocoee, which Unicorp bought about seven years ago, according to the newspaper.
On Sept. 5, Unicorp unveiled the first phase of the gated community. The complex includes 48 one- and three-bedroom units and 120 two-bedroom units. The remainder of the project will bring in another 60 units in the coming months, for a total of 276 upon completion.
Roger B. Kennedy Inc. was the general contractor, while Slocum Platts Architects PA was the designer. Beasley & Henley Interior Design handled the interior design.
The project created more than 200 construction jobs, as well as nearly 50 permanent jobs.
