The City of Tampa on Jan. 7 said it received proposals to redevelop two city-owned parcels in historic Ybor City.
In December, the city issued two requests for proposals (RFPs) aimed at generating new economic opportunities in Ybor City.
The city received two proposals for development of a hotel at the northeastern corner of E. 7th Ave and Nuccio Parkway. The bids were submitted by YC Hospitality LLC and Liberty Group.
The second RFP seeks bids for the purchase of a property located along 12th Avenue between 16th and 17th streets and creating a new multi-family residential development. Intown/Framework Group submitted a proposal for this project.
“Each [RFP] offers unique ideas for re-energizing the parcels,” Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn said in a statement. “I am looking for partners who recognize Ybor’s history and want to help fulfill its potential.”
